INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS INSPECTORATE 2009In October 2009 the school's many outstanding features were highlighted in an inspection report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The inspection, which is part of the regular inspection schedule of independent schools registered with the Independent Schools Council, judged the quality of the education provided, the safety, welfare and development of the children and found the school to be fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
The inspection also confirmed that the Early Years provision for the very youngest children in the school is outstanding and is highly effective in meeting the needs of all children.

OFSTED 2008In May 2008, an Inspection of the Nursery Education at St. Michael's School was carried out by OFSTED. The purpose of such inspections is to assure government, parents and the public that the nursery education for funded three and four year old children is of an acceptable provision. The inspection looked at the education across the Foundation Stage, in the Nursery and Reception classes.
St. Michael's was delighted to receive an OUTSTANDING report in all areas.
