To help promote health and ease the problems of parking we encourage parents to use our Walking Bus Scheme. The scheme is run in conjunction with Southend Borough Council. The pupils are escorted to school along a set route, picking up more ‘passengers’ along the way. The Walking Bus gives pupils an awareness of road safety and provides them with daily exercise.
We presently have three routes: Red, Blue and Purple.

Red Route:
Bus stop 1, 8.05 am - Located on the south side of London Road to the west of Thames Drive outside premises of Pet Shop.
Bus stop 2, 8.10 am - Located on the south side of London Road on the east side of Crescent Road outside Taxwrite Consultants
Bus stop 3, 8.15 am - Located on the south side of London Road to the east of Canvey Road outside the premises of F X ladies hairdressers.


Blue Route:
8.20am - Bus stop located on the large area of footway located on the east side of Hadleigh Road and the west side of Salisbury Road adjacent to the Puffin Crossing.

Purple Route:
8.15am Located at St. Margaret's Church Car Park.

The school is easily accessible by buses that operate in the area.

Arriva and First Bus Companies have a number of bus routes that run from Southend on Sea and various routes that cover the Basildon, Canvey and Hadleigh areas.

Arriva Bus Service No.1
Rayleigh – Shoeburyness via Thundersley, Hadleigh, London Road
Daytime - every 10mins.

Arriva Bus Service No. 5
Basildon – Shoeburyness via Pitsea, Benfleet, Hadleigh, Leigh, and
Westcliff
Daytime - every 30 mins.

Trains

The school is a 15 minute walk away from Leigh on Sea railway station, which is on the C2C service line from London to Southend on Sea.

C2C Trains run a regular service.

Shoeburyness to Leigh on Sea - via Thorpe Bay, Southend East,
Southend Central, Westcliff and Chalkwell.

London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness via Pitsea and Benfleet

In conjunction with Southend Borough council we have a No Parking "Ziggy Zone" around the school (see map below).

However, we do have facilities for using St. Margaret's Church Car Park in Lime Avenue (see map below).

The school office is open from 8:15am to 5:00pm each day, Monday to Friday.

During school holidays, the School Office is normally available between 9:00am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 5:00pm to answer your queries. Otherwise messages can be left on the answer-phone or via e-mail.
