FOUNDATION STAGE(NURSERY / RECEPTION)

NURSERY

Welcome to St. Michael's School Nursery, an important part of our School family.

Children start in Nursery in the September after their third birthday. Places fill quickly so we advise early registration as it's never too early to start thinking about your child's future. At St. Michael's we offer an excellent, yet affordable, start to your child's education.

All children in Nursery attend every morning from 8:30am - 11:55am. Children may attend for the whole day on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (part-time) or every day (full-time). Children attending for the whole day finish at 3pm.
The children in Nursery enjoy being a part of the whole school and particularly welcome joining everyone in a whole school assembly each week. Older siblings take great pride in seeing their younger brothers and sisters join in the stories, songs and prayers.

Qualified staff ensure that the children are being given the best start in life in a happy and safe environment. At the end of the year, the children are ready to go up into Reception with enthusiasm and assurance.

OFSTED inspect the Nursery provision regularly and on their last visit confirmed that St. Michael's School offers high quality education, which helps children make very good progress towards the early learning goals. Please click here to view the latest OFSTED report.

RECEPTION

Children who have not been through Nursery at St. Michael's may start in Reception in the September after their fourth birthday. Reception children attend for the whole day from 8:30am - 3:15pm.
